A place for healing, and a place to learn the science of healing. Ravindranath Tagore Medical College has shouldered these twin responsibilities, not just for South West Rajasthan, but for patients and students from all over the country. It has shaped thousands of young curious minds into learned doctors, dedicated nursing staff and skilled technicians. From it's establishment on 17th November 1961 on land acquired from Maharana of Mewar, to the current sprawling 57 acre campus running all medical courses including superspeciality courses, with 6 attached hospitals, and a huge patient inflow, the college has come a long way. And as much as the past has been glorious, the future is even more promising. The ambit of services offered to patients, and learning opportunities for doctors, have kept pace with the modern times.
As our beloved RNT Medical College turns 60, it is an opportunity for all of us to gather, and celebrate together as a family. An opportunity for us all to thank the institution for all that it has given us, and to think how we can contribute to its growth. An occasion for alumni to walk down the memory lane, their hearts filled with nostalgia. A time for the faculty to cherish the past, and to create a vision for future.
